Italy on foot via a Pilgrimage path
Quote from jadenluna@gmail.com on September 23, 2024, 2:55 pmThis winter I will be taking another trip to Italy to walk a pilgrimage path south from Roma. The path leaves the Eternal City along the Via Appia Antica's cobblestoned path and ventures into hill towns. Along the path, pilgrims can stay at monasteries or convents for free, normally simple accommodations but enough for a good night's sleep for the weary hiker.
It's a lovely way to see the country and small villages, and interact with the locals. And a great way to get away from the grey, dreary winter months of the PNW.
